Art

According to the dictionary –

Art;      The expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.

or having a skill, such as the art of conversation, which takes practice.

When I was a little girl we had an art teacher come into our classroom once a week with specific projects and up until highschool, I neve thought I was artistic becasue I didn;t quite excel at reproducing the required form and technique.

But all I wanted to do was take art class.  I yearned to be an artist, creative and talented.  I loved paints and colors and crayons and clay and stuff that turns into other stuff.

I played music, the oboe to be precise and I was good at it.  (no really I was)

I wrote stories and poems and I drew endless doodles, nothing special, and I never called it art.  Or myself an artist.

But art is the product of the creative process, and it is art and I am an artist.

We all are, in our own way.
